I think that this will multiply air pressure. Using low pressure on the input, I think you can fill a pressure container to a higher pressure than your input pressure. I have not put one together yet so let me know what you think. Will it work? Compressed air is a viable energy storage.

Your pressure multiplier is interesting. I'm currently interested in low speed wind turbines, where the blades are on the inside of a cylinder. My idea is to use these to pressurize a fairly large storage tank to maybe 150 psi.
ReplyDeleteObviously I'll need some sort of pressure multiplier to go from something like 20 psi to 150 psi.
